Volunteers, community members, and students came together to plant native saplings, aiming to combat climate change, preserve biodiversity, and improve air quality. The initiative reflects HET’s commitment to creating healthier, greener communities while raising awareness about sustainable living. A follow-up plan has been set in place to ensure the long-term growth and care of the planted trees.
 

Food Kit Distribution in Collaboration with J&K Yateem Foundation

Humanitarian Emergency Trust (HET), in collaboration with J&K Yateem Foundation, organized a large-scale Food Kit Distribution Drive to support underprivileged families facing food insecurity. The initiative aimed to provide essential grocery items to economically disadvantaged households, ensuring they have adequate nutrition and relief during challenging times.

Each kit included rice, flour, pulses, cooking oil, spices, and other daily-use essentials, carefully packed to meet the needs of a family for several weeks. The distribution targeted widows, orphans, and families with no stable source of income, with beneficiaries identified through a transparent selection process to ensure support reached the most deserving.

Volunteers from both HET and J&K Yateem Foundation worked hand in hand to manage logistics, maintain discipline during distribution, and assist beneficiaries with transportation of the kits. This joint effort reflects the shared commitment of both organizations to fight hunger, promote community solidarity, and provide dignity to those in need.

Medical Camp at Dharmunah, Budgam

Humanitarian Emergency Trust (HET) organized a Free Medical Camp at Dharmunah, Budgam, aimed at delivering essential healthcare services to residents of the area who have limited access to medical facilities. The camp provided free medical consultations, basic diagnostic tests, and essential medicines under the supervision of experienced doctors and healthcare professionals. Special emphasis was placed on preventive healthcare, early detection of illnesses, and educating the community on healthy living practices.

The beneficiaries included children, elderly individuals, and economically disadvantaged families. Dedicated HET volunteers managed patient registration, assisted doctors, and oversaw medicine distribution to ensure the camp ran smoothly and efficiently. The initiative not only met urgent health needs but also strengthened community awareness about the importance of regular check-ups and timely treatment.

Through such efforts, HET continues to work towards making quality healthcare more accessible, fostering a healthier and more resilient community in Budgam and beyond.
