Plantation Drive at Govt. Hr. Sec. School Budgam
Humanitarian Emergency Trust (HET), in collaboration with the Forest Range Office Budgam, organized a Plantation Drive at Government Higher Secondary School, Budgam to promote environmental conservation and raise awareness about the importance of greenery for a healthier planet. The event aimed to instill a sense of responsibility among students and the local community towards protecting and preserving the environment. During the drive, a variety of saplings, including shade trees, fruit-bearing plants, and ornamental species, were planted within the school premises. Forest department officials provided guidance on proper planting techniques and the long-term care of saplings, ensuring that the initiative would have a lasting impact. Students, teachers, HET volunteers, and community members actively participated, making the event both educational and impactful. The collaboration reflected a shared commitment to combating climate change, improving air quality, and enhancing the local ecosystem.
